2019 Program Dates

June 23-July 21, 2019

Eligibility: Participants must be entering 10th - 12th grades in high school.

Applications for entering 9th graders will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Cost: Full-session tuition is $5250. 

Please note: All prices are in US Dollars. International families will be charged in US Dollars. After the $500 deposit in US Dollars has been received, the balance will be billed according to the payment plan you choose to be paid in US funds. Should a teen choose to arrive at camp late or leave camp early for other commitments, we are happy to accommodate that, however, please know that we do not pro-rate the cost of tuition.

Terms of Enrollment

Registration and Payment Due

Registration for camp will remain open until June 15, as long as there is space available. Final payments are due May 15, 2019, or upon acceptance thereafter. Please make all checks payable to “URJ Kutz Camp.”

Acceptance

Acceptance is assured only when a completed online application and $500 USD deposit has been received. The URJ Kutz Camp does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color or national origin.

Refunds/Cancellations

There is a $500 USD non-refundable registration fee. A $1,500 interim payment is due by March 1, 2019. Full refunds, less $500, will be made up to March 1, 2019, and full refunds, less $2,000, will be made up to April 30, 2019. Any refunds between May 1, 2019 and the start of the session are at the discretion of the Camp Director. No refunds will be made once the session has begun. At the discretion of the Camp Director, alternate arrangements may be made

Payment Schedule Options

We are dedicated to helping our participants and their families afford our leadership programs, thus the payment options listed below. All participants are also urged to apply for scholarship assistance from their local congregation, local Jewish Federation or other sources of scholarship dollars.

At the time of registration, a $500 USD deposit is required. On May 1, 2019, any outstanding balances are due on your account. You are welcome to pay all or part of your camp fee prior to that date. There is no fee or penalty associated with making multiple payments, you can make as many payments as often as needed.

Payment Options

Registrations Prior to March 1
Autopay in Four Installments-By selecting this option, you authorize the Union for Reform Judaism to automatically charge the account selected in four payments on the following schedule: $500 deposit per program at time of enrollment; $1,500 per program enrolled on March 1; 50% of remaining balance on April 1; and remaining balance on May 1.

Autopay in Three Installments-By selecting this option, you authorize the Union for Reform Judaism to automatically charge the account selected in three payments on the following schedule: $500 deposit per program at time of enrollment; $1,500 per program enrolled on March 1; and remaining balance on May 1.

Registrations After March 1
Autopay in Three Installments-By selecting this option, you authorize the Union for Reform Judaism to automatically charge the account selected in three payments on the following schedule: $2,000 per program at time of enrollment (deposit and interim payment combined); 50% of remaining balance on April 1; and remaining balance on May 1.

Autopay in Two Installments-By selecting this option, you authorize the Union for Reform Judaism to automatically charge the account selected in two payments on the following schedule: $2,000 per program at time of enrollment (deposit and interim payment combined); and remaining balance on May 1.

Always Available
Manual Online Payments-By selecting this option, you agree to follow the Union for Reform Judaism Teen Travel Programs payment schedule, which requires a $500 deposit per program at time of enrollment; a $1,500 interim payment per program enrolled due by March 1; and remaining balance paid in full by May 1. You may login and pay in installments at your discretion prior to these deadlines.

Pay in Full at Time of Enrollment-By selecting this option, you agree to pay in full by your selected payment method at the time of enrollment, within 5 business days from now.

Payments may be made via credit card by accessing your online account at (website) or via check by mailing to: URJ Kutz Camp, 46 Bowen Road, Warwick, NY 10990 (payable to URJ Kutz Camp; please note participant’s name with any payments by check).

Work/Study Scholarship Applicants

Work/Study Scholarships are allocated based on a matching contribution from your URJ congregation. Applications will be evaluated on a financial need basis only. In order to be considered, you must be registered for the Kutz session. The Work/Study application will be available in the Spring of 2019.

Personal Property

It is mutually understood that the URJ Kutz Camp accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any participant’s property while at camp or in transit.

Transportation

Participants may be driven to camp by their parents or guardians. We also provide direct charter bus service to the URJ Kutz Camp from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and back. If you will be flying to camp, you must follow the travel parameters that are outlined for you. If your travel falls outside of these travel parameters, you will be responsible for travel to URJ Kutz Camp or to meet the bus for travel to camp. These guidelines will be provided upon receipt of your application.
